NEWPORT, PA - One-Stop Communications of PA, Inc. was recently awarded
$2,174 through the Small Business Advantage Grant Program. Launched by Governor Rendell in July 2004, the grant program provides a 50-percent match for equipment or processes to reduce energy consumption and promote pollution prevention for Pennsylvania manufacturers and service providers. One-Stop Communications is one of 48 Pennsylvania businesses that are investing in energy efficiency. "The high costs of electricity and fuel are affecting all of us," said Governor Rendell. "From families to small businesses to large corporations, these rising costs are making it harder to stretch a budget or earn a profit, but there are steps that we can take. These innovative firms recognize that and they are making the investments necessary to use energy in a smarter fashion, which means lower expenses and higher margins." One-Stop Communications has matched the $2,174 grant to purchase and install high-efficiency heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment with zone controls to conserve energy at their Newport location.
