About Us
In 1996, at the age of 21, Michael Buffington began selling communications products as an independent retailer in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. Then, on September 19th, 1996, he opened One-Stop Communications in a small building on South Main Street in Lewistown, in what is now South Side Ice Cream. He hired David Fisher, who is still working at One-Stop Communications as Regional Service Manager.
Over the years, One-Stop Communications has been involved in many changes of the wireless industry, and has been an authorized dealer for all of the major carriers in the area.
One-Stop Communications has been the recipient of several awards, including:
• AT&T Wireless Dealer of Excellence
• AT&T Wireless Outstanding Performance
• DishNetwork Summit Advantage Retailer
In June of 2000, One-Stop Communications outgrew its former location, and moved to 126 Electric Avenue in Lewistown. Mike hired several new employees, and the business continued to expand, with a focus on service after the sale.
Today, One-Stop Communications is a well-respected and thriving business that employs over 15 professional staff with over 45 years of combined experience in the communications field. Most customers live and work within a 90-mile radius of Mifflin County, but the business has grown to serve customers all over the United States. One-Stop Communications of PA, Inc. is a member of the Juniata Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Wireless Dealer Association, and the Satellite Broadcast Communication Association.
One-Stop Communications is the area’s largest provider of communications products, including:
• Cellular phone service from AT&T Wireless
• Cellular phone accessories – access to over 100,000 items!
• Satellite TV service from DishNetwork, DirecTV, and HughesNet
• Satellite radio service from Sirius Radio and XM Radio
• Paging Service - the only provider in Mifflin County!
• Icom two-way radios
• Talkswitch business phone systems, installed and serviced by One-Stop
One-Stop Communications has been incredibly supportive of local organizations. Currently, they are a collection center for used computer equipment for Skills of Central Pennsylvania. One-Stop has contributed to the Salvation Army, United Way, Mifflin County YBMC, Mifflin County 4-H, local schools and sports teams, local fire companies and police departments, and many others!
